Terms Entered in Search Tools
When you enter a name, place, or other term into a search box, the query is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. Lycoming County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy rules govern its receipt and handling of the query.
Messages Sent to Us
If you email us or use an available contact form, we keep the message and contact details long enough to review and answer it. We do not share the message outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Ordinary server, analytics, and security tools can create technical records when a page loads. Those records may include:
- Your internet protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when provided
- Date and time stamps
Cookies and Similar Storage

Links may lead to Lycoming County offices, PA SAVIN, Pennsylvania corrections pages, court portals, federal locators, and outside search providers. Once you follow a link, the destination’s privacy notice and terms apply. We do not control how that site collects, retains, or discloses information.
Pennsylvania’s Right-to-Know Law, 65 P.S. §§ 67.101 through 67.3104, governs qualifying agency records and requests to Pennsylvania public bodies. It does not turn data sent to a private search partner into a county record, and this privacy notice does not govern a public office’s systems. Advertising partners may also measure activity across websites for interest-based ads on their own platforms.

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may reach service providers or authorities when needed for the functions described here:

- Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Security Measures and Limits
We use customary administrative and technical practices intended to reduce unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No internet service, network, or storage method is fully secure. We cannot guarantee that a breach, transmission error, or unauthorized access will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the information we actually hold, you may:
- Ask for a copy of personal data held about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Ask that eligible data be erased
- Opt out of processing where an applicable right permits it
These requests do not remove a government record from Lycoming County, PA DOC, a court, or another source agency. Contact that custodian about its own records.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this Privacy Notice as services, vendors, or legal duties change. The updated text takes effect when posted here and will display a new effective date. Continued use after an update means acceptance of the revised practices.
